Notes on working with

a professional calligrapher

Often I book out weeks in advance, so plan accordingly with your projects and check availability.

When working on bridal projects, note that wedding envelope addressing can take approximately two weeks per 100 addresses. As you prepare your guest list, I prefer it to be typed in a mailing label format.

Gold foiling can be used on most leather items but it’s great to check with me first or provide a sample.

When hand engraving on glass items I can add either silver or gold color fill to perfect the piece. Drinkable items can only be engraved (no color fill).

I do not keep a personal inventory of paper products but I’m happy to order place cards and such if needed. This is also something that you or your stationer are welcome to ship to me. When I ship pieces, I usually send via FedEx.

Payments can be made using Zelle, or through my online platform that I use for invoicing (a surcharge of 3% is added to cover the credit card fees). I ask for deposits on most jobs, and I do expect full payment upon completion of the job. My minimum fee for calligraphy starts at $75 and Texas residents will incur sales tax. Engraving starts at $100 for the first piece. Often, additional pieces engraved at the same time start at $35 each. On-site calligraphy starts at $125/hour plus sales tax. Day-of holiday bookings are $200/hr.
