About Jennifer

My love of fine lettering began as a young girl, when my mother first showed me her album of Italic calligraphy samples. Excited to learn how to write beautifully, I began practicing calligraphy every day. Soon I started making handmade cards and bookmarks for family and friends. My love for calligraphy flourished as I joined my local calligraphy guild. The men and women in the guild gave me great encouragement and guidance in fine-tuning my skills. I joined an international calligraphy group called IAMPETH. Attending the conference for six years straight was not only instructional, but such fun. I enjoy teaching beginner calligraphy classes to both children and adults. I am a stay-at-home wife and a mommy to three young boys, and work from my home studio. I specialize in Pointed Pen Script and other fine styles of lettering for special occasions, my favorite being wedding invitation suites. I also offer private or group calligraphy classes; please email me for more information.

I am a member of the Waco Calligraphy Guild, and IAMPETH, the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting. I feel blessed to have been able to study under several master penmen including world-renown Spencerian calligrapher Michael Sull and the former White House calligrapher Pat Blair. These instructors, and more such as Jake Weidmann, Paul Antonio, John DeCollibus, and Harvest Crittenden, have helped to give me a wonderful foundation in Copperplate and Spencerian calligraphy. I love working with brides and clients to create meaningful calligraphed invitations, stationery and gifts that they will cherish!
